Nothing

Standard

I’m at a corner Mom and Pop store one Sunday afternoon, right, to satisfied my urge for some chocolate. As I head towards the back looking for a favorite Little Debbie cake (Swiss Rolls), I see a male friend. Let me tell you about this “friend.”

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Oh he’s alright if you like alright. But to me..it’s nothing.

Anyway, as I muffled my inward sound of delight over my Swiss Rolls, I said hello to nothing, walked to the counter to pay for my chocolate, decided to buy a banana to quiet my conscience, stood in line. And then it happened.

Nothing said to me “I don’t see why you’re buying that cake, since you’re already sweet.” Now. I know what you’re thinking, that I blushed, and nearly dropped my cake and banana all because a nothing said something to me. Nope! I paid for my stuff, walked out.

It seems to me that when a man commends a woman (I’m just assuming that’s what it was), she’s supposed to feel admired, loved, etc. Oh I’m sure some commendation is necessary and real. But this was coming from a 60+ man!

I feel that if you want to talk to me then please do it right! It’s called doing it CORRECT! Just talk to me! There’s no need to come off like you’re scared outta your pants therefore appearing like you’re twenty or something.

Just talk to me. For anything outside of that, you know what it means to me?

NOTHING.

Maca-Chaca Facial Mask

1/2 Tbsp bentonite or other cosmetic clay

1/2 tsp maca powder

1/2 tsp cocoa powder (not Nestle Quik)

1-2 Tbsp of liquid of choice

Stir well and quick, or the mask will set up before you know it. The consistency you’re aiming for is akin to pudding.  Light, creamy chocolate pudding.

Spread a thin layer all over your (non-make-ed) clean face and leave it on until it dries, about 15-20 minutes. Remove by placing a warm washcloth over your face and letting the mask soften.  Then, you can just wipe it off with the washcloth and rinse your face completely.

This is why…

ok folks this is why is started this blog.

have you ever been misunderstood? no matter how many times you’ve tried to explain, it’s always the same thing in that you’re negatively judged.

well i decided that i needed an outlet. i mean it’s actually about time. oh i’m not a fool now in that of course i realize that many who read this might have the same mind set as people i interact with face to face. however, one thing i learned and observed through the years of writing is that folks who read and write, that is, actually read and then write, think differently. it’s like thinking outside the box.

and that is what i’m depending on.

so you will hear from me more frequently.

Why?

Standard

just for starters, i was thinking:

why is it that an adult belches but a baby burps? same sound isn’t it more or less?

why is it that when an adult stops crying once held, and he or she is comforted, yet when the same is done to a child he or she is said to be spoiled?

there is more but right now this will suffice.
